With all these inspiring quotes, I tried waking up early myself.
I used to go to sleep around midnight and wake up around 9 am. It’s acceptable because this was the same sleeping schedule for most people.
I thought there’s nothing wrong with my sleeping routine and kept doing that after some time’s I read that almost all successful people are early risers they are productive and successful as well.
So I thought what’s so good about rising early in the morning?
My parents always told me to wake up early in the morning it will solve most of your problem so it was time to check it for a fact, I tried it for myself, started waking up at 5:30 am. In the first 4-5 days while leaving my bed I get a thought of…”Just let me sleep a little longer”
I kept hitting the snooze button because it was easier rather than waking up but my willpower was strong and I triumphed in the battle of waking up early yet I felt like I lost… you know what I mean.
After a few weeks, I started to see all of the positive changes in my life.
So, I decided to share my wisdom and what positive changes might come in your life as well.
First I’m going to tell you all the benefits of waking up early and after that, If you have a problem waking up early I will suggest some changes try them and see the result yourself.
Here are some benefits of waking up early
- More productivity
It’s no surprise that early riser gets a kick start for the day and speaking upon my experience morning hours is the best time to get the work done. Your mind is on full concentration.
Tim Cook, Richard Branson are some of the many who rises hours before the rest of the world. I was surprised when I started doing most of the important tasks early in the morning like study, work, and other tasks with a clear & well-rested mind. No one to disturb you and with your mind, on the alert mode you can get more work done and you will have fewer things to worry about.
My mind was on full focus and more creative than before and that was being reflected on my work also.
2. Mental fitness
When you wake up early in the morning there is no need to rush like you used to take your time enjoying watching the sunrise, Birds chirping.
As there is no rush no worry you wake up with positive energy within you plan your day ahead and you also eliminate the stress of getting the things done and that energy last’s thru out the day making your day good & who doesn’t long for a good day in such a busy/hectic life.
All this leads to good mental fitness.
3. Better sleep quality
An average adult should at least sleep for around 7-8 hours. When we talk about waking up early it’s not like you wake up early for a few days & Boom you’re sleeping schedule is on track.
When you start developing this routine and continue on it you start noticing the change in the quality of sleep you get as your body’s internal clock adapts to it.
4. Peaceful
Sometimes people don’t appreciate the beauty of quiet for that quiet they go in the lap of nature but you can have that peace in your home.
You wake up when everyone is sleeping and when you do that just listen to your surrounding and you will know how quiet it is when there is no car honking, no calls/text, no one to disturb you.
I found early hours so peaceful and probably do most of the important tasks in that quiet surroundings without breaking my focus & no one to disturb me.
5. Extra hours
Extra hour sounds magical, right?
Most of the people spent their sleeping time browsing thru their phones, texting, etc.
When you start early you finish early so, when you wake up early you have extra time to get your work done then the rest of the world cause they are still asleep which gives you lead from other people.
You can use those extra hours by working out, Giving your passion a chance, or finish your work.
6. Brighter & happy world
Early risers have a significantly low level of stress than night owls.
When you rise early it eliminated the rush so you start the day with a positive outlook and optimistic and that turns your whole world brighter you get a sense of order in your life that makes you happy. Who doesn’t want that?.
You have enough time to prepare healthy breakfast or pick up that old book you want to read.
7. Skin health
After having full night of sleep your skin tends to be at its best in the morning. When you rise early you have the advantage to take care of your skin and with a proper sleeping schedule it gives your skin time to rejuvenate
How to shift from night owl to a early riser?
Waking up early is no piece of cake especially when you are a night owl but it can be done you just need to have a strong will and dedicated mindset with that you will become an early riser in no time.
We’ll walk thru this process in step’s
1. Start waking up early by 15 minutes every day
Imagine if you wake up at 8:00 am start waking up at 7:45 am and then 7:30 and so on in two weeks you will be able to wake up at 5:30 am. For you to wake up early to need to fall asleep at the right time making sure that you sleep for at least 7-8 hours and stay away from electronic devices that ruin your sleeping schedule like mobile, tv, etc.
You have to wake up 15 minutes early everyday remember that.
2. Keep that snooze button out of your reach
If you have your alarm clock by your bedside it won’t have any effect as you will be able to shut it down without even getting out of your bed so that won’t work keep it away from your reach so you would have to get up to shut is down.
Taking few steps after getting out of your bed will wake you up better than any alarm clock can, alarm clock just act as catalyst to make sure that you walk those few steps.
3. Keep your blinders open
Let that morning ray come in and disturb you as they fall on your eye it will help you to wake up early
So, That’s it for today, and try waking up early and develop a good healthy lifestyle with this you will start to notice positive changes in your day-to-day life.
After all this benefits if you don’t want to motivate yourself to wake up early keep following your usual routine, unhealthy breakfast, staying up late this will all lead you to depression, stress knowing such disadvantage, I personally would prefer to wake up early so should you But if you are don’t force yourself sleep as much as you want.
